Location: San Diego, CA
Setting: Outpatient Clinic
Term: 12 months assignment with a potential for extension
Shift Schedule: Full or Part Time
Pay Rate: $90/hr

Qualifications of Pain Management Nurse practitioner or Physician assistant (NP/PA):
Active California NP or PA license
Active DEA registration or ability to obtain
Current BLS/ACLS certification
Minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred (pain management, orthopedics, neurology, anesthesia, or related field)
Experience with EHR systems; eClinicalWorks or Epic preferred
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred
Experience with chronic pain management, opioid agreements, and CURES/PDMP monitoring preferred
Duties/Responsibilities of Pain Management Nurse practitioner or Physician assistant (NP/PA):
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including history, physical exams, and review of diagnostic studies
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
Prescribe and manage medications, including opioid and non-opioid therapies, in compliance with California regulations and CURES requirements
Assist with or perform interventional procedures such as trigger point injections and joint injections (training available)
Order and interpret diagnostic imaging and studies including X-ray, MRI, CT, and EMG/NCS
Monitor patient progress and document care within the electronic health record (eClinicalWorks)
Coordinate multidisciplinary care including referrals to physical therapy, behavioral health, and specialty care
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and self-management strategies
Participate in case conferences, quality initiatives, and continuing education
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and clinical guidelines
