Full Stack Developer

Overview

Position Title – Senior Full Stack Engineer Location: Ortigas Setup: Hybrid – 3 days onsite per week

The Senior Full Stack Engineer is responsible for developing complete software solutions, including complex websites and web applications, while ensuring alignment with business requirements, architectural best practices, and compatibility across a range of screen resolutions.

This role is involved throughout the entire software development lifecycle—from design and development to deployment and maintenance—ensuring solutions are high-performing, scalable, secure, and reliable.

As a senior member of the engineering team, the Senior Full Stack Engineer proactively stays abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices. The role identifies and champions opportunities to improve system performance and engineering efficiency while supporting the technical growth of the team through leadership, mentoring, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Stack Web Development

• Develop or convert approved design mock-ups into functional websites or applications based on business and client requirements.
• Develop client-side software, including websites, web applications, and mobile applications, using appropriate technology stacks.
• Ensure digital solutions are visually appealing, user-friendly, easy to navigate, and aligned with defined requirements.
• Perform backend integrations as required.
• Handle DevOps responsibilities, including server configuration, infrastructure management, and automation, to support reliable and scalable deployments.
• Implement and maintain security measures for deployed production projects, proactively mitigating risks related to unauthorized access, data breaches, and other vulnerabilities.

Project Development

• Develop functional, high-quality, high-performing, and scalable backend systems and data access layers within agreed timelines.
• Deploy projects across various environments, including Development, Staging, and Production, while ensuring alignment with project specifications.

Planning, Reporting, and Review

• Participate in various stages of the software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and reporting.
• Validate and assess the feasibility of website or application features in collaboration with requesting business units.
• Provide project status updates as requested by the supervisor, project manager, or equivalent team stakeholders.

Technical Leadership

• Lead technical discussions and contribute to architectural decisions within the team.
• Conduct thorough and constructive code reviews to promote code quality, adherence to engineering best practices, and knowledge sharing.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement and evolution of engineering standards and practices.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 4+ years of experience in software development, web application development, or a similar role within a related or adjacent industry.
• Strong understanding of and experience with modern frontend frameworks and libraries, such as React, Vue.js, or Angular .
• Strong knowledge of core web technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/ES6+ .
• Deep and proven expertise in at least one robust backend language and framework, such as:
• Python with Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• Node.js with Express or NestJS
• Solid understanding of server-side development principles, RESTful and/or GraphQL API design and implementation, and security best practices.
• Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience working in Agile teams.
• Strong understanding of security best practices and experience implementing secure coding principles.
• Proficiency with version control systems, particularly Git , including branching strategies and collaborative development workflows.

Skills and Competencies

Technical Expertise

• Strong expertise in native JavaScript and related technologies or abstractions, such as React.js, Node.js, and Webpack .
• Proficiency in HTML and CSS .
• Strong database skills using PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or MongoDB .
• Strong proficiency in Python , together with other backend languages and frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, Node.js, and Express .
• Proven ability to architect and implement complex, scalable APIs using RESTful and/or GraphQL , with a strong focus on security, versioning, and documentation.
• Hands-on experience architecting, deploying, and managing applications on major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP .
• Strong understanding of cloud-native patterns and best practices, including serverless architecture, containers, and infrastructure as code .
• Strong knowledge of mobile-related and server-related technologies.
• Experience with payment gateway integration and development work .
