- Join the People and Capability team within the Department of Creative Industries, Tourism, Hospitality and Sport
- Clerk Grade 7/8, salary range $113,574 to $125,720 per annum plus superannuation
- Temporary full-time opportunity up to 30 June 2027
About the role
The People, Systems and Governance Advisor plays a key role in supporting effective workforce governance, compliance and process management across People and Capability. The role helps ensure workforce activities, records, systems and processes are accurate, consistent and aligned with legislative, policy and organisational requirements.
You will coordinate governance and assurance activities, review workforce transactions and establishment data, identify risks and process improvements, and provide practical advice to managers and stakeholders. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys using systems, data and sound governance practices to strengthen workforce outcomes.
On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for
- Coordinate workforce governance, compliance, audit and assurance activities to support accurate, consistent and timely People and Capability outcomes.
- Review workforce transactions, establishment data, records and system processes to identify risks, compliance issues and opportunities to improve controls and ways of working.
- Analyse findings and prepare clear reports, recommendations and insights to support decision-making, risk management and continuous improvement.
- Provide practical advice and guidance to managers, People and Capability teams and stakeholders on workforce processes, system requirements, policies, procedures and governance obligations.
Our ideal candidate will have
- Experience in workforce governance, compliance, workforce administration, establishment management, human resources or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret workforce information, identify risks or process issues, and develop practical recommendations.
- Confidence using workforce systems, data and controls to support accurate and compliant workforce processes.
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including the ability to provide clear advice and prepare quality reports and recommendations.
