Role Description
Thorough, up-to-date, and in-depth understanding of the freight forwarding industry. In this role you spend most of the time in customer-facing activities, hunting for new business, and working hand in hand with the Operations personnel on the same customers.
Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities from prospect generation to winning business.
- Prepare quotations and present to clients using effective sales and negotiation techniques.
- Onboard new business accounts and resolve customer complaints in liaison with other departments.
- Monitor marketplace pricing and products and stay up to date with regulations.
- Collaborate with Operations department to fulfill RFQ and monitor customer shipments.
- Collaborate with management to meet sales goals.
Skills And Experiences
- 2–5 years of experience in the same position (freight forwarding industry). Experience in both import and export freight sales is a plus.
- Persuasive speaking, empathy, adaptability, and ability to use positive language.
- Decision making & problem-solving skills.
- They must be flexible, and trustworthy, and demonstrate a high level of business judgment, focus, and commitment to be successful in this role.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and achieve targets.
Proficiency in English.
