Vector’s vehicle fleet includes a food industry first in ‘multi-temperature’ vehicles enabling the company to service business across frozen, chilled and ambient temperature zones on a single delivery.

Job Purpose To effectively work and communicate with the Operations management to continuously improve standards. To plan, develop and implement techniques, processes and procedures for controlling the desired level of quality for all goods stored and supplied by the region/site. To coordinate with principals and suppliers, warehouse and transport management and customers to resolve quality and food safety issues. To ensure compliance to all company and group policies and standards affecting food quality and safety

Key Responsibilities

Legislative and Policy Compliance Ensure compliance with the Food Safety and the OHSACT, NEMA and associated regulations and legislations. Ensure the region and sites have the current Vector SHE and quality and food safety standards and procedures as well as Customer requirements in place and adhered to. Ensure documentation completion and submission requirements are adhered to. Ensure all internal policies are aligned to legislative requirements and best practice. Review and update all SHERQ procedures and checklists. Ensure that all internal audits are planned and actioned according to schedule Pass all customer and external audits and retain applicable certifications

Operational Compliance Support and Auditing Co-ordinate the development, implementation and management of a standardized integrated SHERQ management system as per the required standard. Conduct internal audits and inspections and manage external certification audits. Implement and maintain quality tools to ensure quality control and compliance. Provide management and staff training as applicable Ensure that all traceability and recalls procedures are followed Accompany inspectors and auditor during on-site inspections and audits and respond to regulatory non-compliances Maintain the HACCP, VACCP, TACCP, HIRA and ERA systems and other SHERQ information and documentation Implement, administer, monitor and maintain the Operations SHERQ programmes and associated documentation Update all SHE & food safety systems, lists and files Ensure that Risk prevention and emergency procedures are identified and implemented. Conduct workplace and job specific hazard analysis to identify potential hazards Evaluate the effectiveness of risk control measures and recommend changes Maintain risk registers Communicate risk control and risk management information by analyzing data, developing indictors, producing and presenting required reports and advising management accordingly. Liaise with external bodies eg. Department of Employment and Labour, fire department, contractors, service provider and emergency services with regard to local governmental compliance requirements and best practice. Risk management (HACCP/TACCP/VACCP/HIRA/ERA/ Food defense, fire and security) Conduct Root Cause Analysis for SHERQ related non-conformances identified Ensure corrective action plans and actions for audits, incident investigations and customer complaints are completed Contractor management Assist with the development of SHERQ Objectives and Targets, Continual Improvement Plans and Injury Reduction Plans and facilitate the completion of actions required to fulfil these requirements Change Management

Incident Investigation

Conduct post incident investigations in order to identify root causes and determine appropriate preventative and corrective action Champion the implementation of corrective actions Ensure proper administration of the incident reporting and investigation system, legal documents and registers Analyze and investigate customer complaints. Facilitate interventions to address the problem and monitor improvements Seek continual improvement in the SHERQ space by regularly monitoring regional and site activities and assess the implications of new developments. Ensure that Corrective Action Plans are in place, updated and track the close out of required actions whilst maintaining evidence of close outs

Communication and Reporting

Capture all SHERQ related data on time and in full Analyse data, develop leading indicators, determine trends and produce and present required reports to advise management accordingly. Engage with external bodies (eg. Department of Health and service providers) with regards to compliance requirements and best practice. Advise project managers regarding the requirements of contractors on site, safety files etc. Ensure Risk and SHE Rep meetings are held at the prescribed frequencies and minutes are communicated and signed off
