LOCATION
This position will be located at our Headquarters in College Station, Texas.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, Agricultural Economics, or a related field and three (3) to five (5) years of related experience in lending, credit analysis, internal review/regulatory compliance other experience as deemed equivalent by Capital Farm Credit.
JOB SUMMARY
- Provides support for regulatory compliance within the Association.
- Reviews disclosures for covered transactions.
- Stays current on legal and regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Assists with the preparation and maintenance of compliance-related policies, procedures and processes that strive for efficient and streamlined closings.
- Develops and presents compliance training and deep dives for staff as directed.
- Works with moderate supervision, conferring with VP Compliance and Legal.
- Primary accountability for monitoring and overseeing matters related to flood insurance, OFAC, HMDA, 1071 and related items.
- Support role for issues related to scope and eligibility and Farm Credit borrower rights.
- Assignments are simple to moderately complex in nature and a certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Conduct or assist in regulatory research to ensure the Association stays in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Serves as a primary contact for consumer compliance questions.
- Responds to questions and issues related to Farm Credit lending regulations as well as Association policies and procedures.
- Attends trainings as necessary to stay current with respect to the regulatory and compliance issues.
- Regularly assists in preparing and providing compliance training.
- Communicate with lenders and credit staff clearly. Keep appropriate management members apprised of concerns and patterns of practice.
REQUIRED SKILLS
- General knowledge of credit and loan structure and the ability to be proficient in loan origination and document storage systems.
- Communicates clearly and concisely and manage details in an organized and efficient fashion.
- Ability to prioritize assignments and identify and resolve issues.
- Good working knowledge of regulatory compliance, applicable regulations, and operating within a system of internal controls.
- Skill in oral and written communication and basic skill level in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to effectively publicly speak and present in order to assist in trainings to audiences of various sizes, skill sets, and knowledge.
