Overview
Mirabella at Arizona State University is a vibrant university-based retirement community located in the heart of Tempe, Arizona. We are seeking a Fitness Instructor to lead engaging wellness programs that enhance residents' health, independence, and quality of life. We are especially interested in candidates with experience teaching Pilates and/or Tai Chi .
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead safe, engaging, and inclusive fitness classes for residents, with a focus on promoting health, mobility, and wellness.
- Develop and conduct wellness programs, activities, and assessments that encourage participation and support individual fitness goals.
- Provide instruction on proper exercise techniques and safe use of fitness equipment.
- Motivate residents through positive coaching, encouragement, and personalized support.
- Maintain fitness equipment and wellness areas while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
About You
- Experience teaching fitness classes, wellness programs, Pilates, Tai Chi, or related disciplines.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, fitness equipment, and senior wellness principles.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for working with older adults.
- Positive, energetic, and professional approach to resident engagement and wellness.
