A Snapshot
As the Water Delivery Project Manager, you will be reporting to the Water Delivery Program Director (who is based in Sydney) you will work closely with Technology, Development and Operations teams, making your mark in several ways:
- Drive the Design and Construction of our Water Infrastructure and Recycled Water facilities to AirTrunk’s standard, exceeding local standards and requirements.
- Provide practical solutions to development problems and use your water and wastewater industry experience to facilitate practical arrangements and building solutions.
- Control the design and construction of Water Infrastructure assets through to commissioning of assets.
- Control the budget associated with Water Infrastructure Delivery projects
Your Day to Day
- Develop AirTrunk’s water delivery infrastructure to exceed local code requirements and industry best practice.
- Develop and manage thedesign, construction, connection, and commissioning of water infrastructure projects on new and existing AirTrunk assets.
- Provide continual improvement to the existing designs by collaborating with the technology team during early design phases.
- Specify, review and assist in the procurement of water and wastewater infrastructure to meet AirTrunk’s requirements to all applicable specifications and required standards
- Negotiate at a technical level with authorities through the development process to achieve project outcomes.
- Supervise and collaborate with consultants, the general site contractor and specialist contractors to ensure practical build solutions, on time, on budget and to approved AirTrunk requirements.
- Work with Site Specialists in the resolution of incident related, standing, or emerging problems.
- Prepare or review MOP’s in conjunction with the Site Specialists for stage and implementation on existing networks and commissioning of new assets.
- Budget control of approved budgets, Identifying cost saving opportunities and system improvements
- Assist in the successful resolve of post construction related punch list items.
- Oversee project and commissioning engineers and contractors with Water/Wastewater infrastructure related issues where required to facilitate handover to authorities or 3rd party operator.
- Assist if required, the authorising engineer specialist support to site teams.
- Assist technology department reviews and provide operational guidance to designs and commissioning of new assets.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with water utility or utility contractor as a Project Manager, minimum 10 years.
- Extensive water infrastructure and wastewater infrastructure design, construction and commissioning experience
- Excellent technical knowledge of potable water, recycled water and waste water infrastructure including the design, delivery and operation of recycled water and waste water treatment plants.
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent
- Flexible and organised to manage workload to meet deadlines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work across different teams such as design, development and data centre operations teams.
- Ability to interpret and correct drawings and specifications utilising AutoCAD.
- Willingness to travel throughout Asia-Pacific; previous APAC experience preferred.
- Professional attitude with persuasive skills.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD.
