Job description

This is for Banco Santander in Warsaw -> in CIB (Corporate & Investment Banking) -> Pre Post Trade (Operations) -> Accounting technology team. The objective is to be part of a team of 8 people, providing production support and when no issues are active the team will join project/development activities. Production support will be given to 3 tools: The system MIC does the integration of accounting automatic processes. Main tech knowledge required: microservices in Java running in OpenShift. The system Accounting Notes is used to perform the manual appointments in accounting processes as some are not automated. Main tech knowledge required: visual .Net. The system Accounting Data Hub is a repository for accounting information and is part of the data lakes. Main tech knowledge required: spark and Qliksense. You will be providing specific support to MIC, and if no support is needed you can help the development / project teams. Java, microservices, openshift, streaming, file transmission tracking, production support experience and development capabilities are great. Please emphasis on these if you have them. Banking or Finance or Accounting experience is ideal, but not 100% critical. In any case try and talk about and maximize your experience in any of these 3. Team will provide support to users in UK, USA and Spain and at a later stage LatAm (Mexico, Argentina). English is the speaking language but there is a logical influence of Polish (location is Waraw) and Spanish (Spanish bank with some employees and users both in the office and users of the applications). Work hours for this position are more or less 12:00 to 20:00 Monday to Friday. You will have to go to the office 2 days a week in central Warsaw. Expect 3 on call nights a month 00:00 to 08:00 with the mobile phone switched on from home. Whole team is expecting 3 to 4 calls on average per month so chances are you might not have any calls. Expect 1 activation every 1 to 2 months.
