DevOps Engineer

Job Overview
Software Finder is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to build, manage, and optimize the infrastructure powering our AI, automation, and data platforms. This role is ideal for an engineer who thrives in production environments and enjoys building scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure.
You will work closely with AI, Data Engineering, and Product teams to deploy and maintain mission-critical services, automate infrastructure, improve system reliability, and ensure seamless delivery of production workloads. This is a hands-on engineering role with significant ownership over cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, observability, and platform security.
Location: Lahore, Pakistan (On-site) Working Hours: 12:00 PM – 9:00 PM PKT
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and efficient software deployments.
Build, manage, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure, including compute, networking, storage, databases, and identity management.
Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or equivalent tools to ensure reproducible and version-controlled environments.
Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications using Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes.
Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions to proactively identify and resolve production issues.
Support large-scale distributed processing workloads and ensure high system availability and performance.
Maintain infrastructure security by implementing best practices for access control, secrets management, vulnerability management, and system hardening.
Optimize cloud infrastructure utilization and costs while maintaining system performance and reliability.
Collaborate with AI and Data Engineering teams to productionize machine learning models, automation workflows, and data pipelines.
Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews to continuously improve platform reliability.
Create and maintain infrastructure documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
Continuously evaluate and implement improvements to platform scalability, automation, and operational excellence.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), Platform Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, and CloudWatch.
Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform (preferred) or similar technologies.
Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent platforms.
Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Amazon ECS or Kubernetes.
Strong scripting skills in Python and/or Bash for automation tasks.
Solid understanding of Linux systems administration and networking concepts.
Experience implementing monitoring and observability solutions using CloudWatch, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.
Proficiency with Git-based development workflows and code review practices.
Experience supporting production systems with distributed or high-throughput workloads.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional engineering teams.
Preferred Skills
Experience supporting production AI/ML infrastructure, including model serving and inference environments.
Familiarity with vector databases and AI infrastructure components.
Experience managing distributed workloads across multi-server or multi-region environments.
Knowledge of relational and NoSQL database technologies at scale.
Experience with messaging and streaming platforms such as Amazon SQS, Kafka, or similar technologies.
Experience in cloud cost optimization (FinOps) and infrastructure efficiency initiatives.
AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS SysOps Administrator, or AWS Solutions Architect.
Experience working in Agile or DevOps-driven software development environments.
