Job description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

About the Team

Anduril's Corporate Technology (CorpTech) team runs the enterprise IT that Anduril Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific (APAC) region rely on: end-user support, devices and infrastructure, identity and collaboration tooling, and the systems that keep a fast-growing, multi-site workforce productive. The region spans offices and test sites in Australia and Anduril's emerging presence across the Asia-Pacific. This is a growing function, and we need a manager to lead IT operations and the regional IT team as that footprint expands.

About the Job

Anduril is looking for a Manager, Information Technology to lead enterprise IT operations and the IT team across the Asia-Pacific. Based in Sydney, you will own day-to-day IT service delivery across our Australian and APAC sites, lead and grow the regional IT team, and set the standard for how our people are supported and our systems are run.

This is a hands-on leadership and management role. You will run IT operations across multiple sites and time zones, lead the people who deliver that support, and make the call on how the region's IT tooling, service levels, and standards evolve. You will work alongside the global IT, Infrastructure, and Information Security teams, applying their standards in-region and feeding APAC's needs back into them. It suits someone who has led an IT team, knows enterprise IT operations from the ground up, and wants to build a regional function as it grows. That could be a senior technical lead ready to step into management, or an experienced IT manager.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the Regional IT Team. Manage and develop the APAC IT team, setting priorities, coaching, and planning the team's growth as the footprint expands. Own the on-call rotation and run the follow-the-sun support model across APAC time zones, keeping coverage as sites and headcount grow.
  • Own Regional IT Operations & Service Delivery. Own day-to-day enterprise IT across every APAC site: end-user support, device and endpoint management, IT asset lifecycle, and the ticket queue. Hold the region to agreed service levels, maintain the knowledge base and standard operating procedures, and improve how support is delivered.
  • Stand Up New Sites & Regional Rollouts. Lead the IT side of new office and site stand-ups across the region, and plan and deliver regional rollouts and upgrades so new locations come online to a consistent standard.
  • Manage IT Systems & Tooling. Own the region's IT operational tooling: IT Service Management (ITSM) and Jira Service Management, endpoint management, identity, asset management, and automation. Prioritise and deliver enhancements, run build-versus-buy assessments for new tools with a clear view of total cost of ownership, and align the region's tooling with global IT standards.
  • Champion IT Policy & Standards. Apply and maintain IT policies, standards, and procedures in-region so they meet Anduril's requirements and the obligations of a Defence-regulated environment, and integrate cleanly with the global toolset.
  • Partner with Global & Regional Stakeholders. Work with global IT, Infrastructure Engineering, and Information Security to apply their standards in APAC and feed regional requirements back into them. Coordinate with site and operations leadership, People, and Facilities to fold IT into how each site works.
  • Manage Vendors & Suppliers. Manage IT vendors and suppliers for hardware, software, licensing, and services against their obligations, with a strong working relationship and a clear line on cost and performance.
  • Report on Performance. Monitor system and service performance and report to senior leadership on service levels and where the region needs to improve.
  • Plan Resources & Budget. Own the regional IT operational budget, covering planning, sensible spend, and accurate reporting. Plan the workforce and headcount as the region grows, and make the case for the investment it needs.
  • Support Security & Compliance. Work with the Security and Information Security teams so that regional IT supports Anduril's security posture and Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) obligations, including access, asset control, and the handling of IT in classified environments.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years in enterprise IT, including experience leading an IT team or operating as a senior technical lead.
  • A proven ability to lead a team's delivery and set technical direction, whether or not you have formally managed people.
  • A track record of running IT operations and service delivery across multiple sites, covering end-user support, endpoint management, and service levels.
  • Strong technical grounding across enterprise IT: endpoint management, networks and systems infrastructure, cloud services, identity, and modern IT operational tooling (ITSM, automation).
  • Experience managing IT tooling and leading technology evaluations, including build-versus-buy and total-cost-of-ownership thinking.
  • Sound, independent judgement; able to run regional operations and make the call with review at key milestones rather than step-by-step direction.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder skills, with a focus on customer service and cross-functional work, and the ability to report credibly to senior leadership.
  • Experience managing IT vendors and suppliers against cost and performance.
  • Willingness to travel across the APAC region as needed.
  • Australian citizenship (mandatory), and willingness to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • People-management experience: direct reports, performance, coaching, and development.
  • Workforce and headcount planning for a growing team.
  • Ownership of an IT operational budget and the financial accountability that comes with it.
  • Experience managing across matrixed or multi-country reporting lines.
  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience leading IT in a hardware manufacturing or otherwise highly regulated business (Defence, government, critical infrastructure).
  • Experience with specific ITSM platforms (e.g. Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, Freshservice) and with generative AI (GenAI) and large language model (LLM) integrations into IT service delivery.
  • Experience with endpoint management tools (Jamf, Intune, Kandji, Workspace ONE) and asset management platforms (e.g. Oomnitza).
  • Experience with automation and scripting (e.g. Python, PowerShell).
  • Experience with Okta or similar identity and access management (IAM) tooling.
  • Experience in a Zero Trust / BeyondCorp environment.
  • Familiarity with DISP obligations and IT in classified or accredited environments.
  • Experience running IT across multiple countries or time zones.
