As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will work with the Enterprise Technology team, which is responsible for the AWS Cloud, IT, Cyber Security, MS Power Platform Cloud, and internal support domains. You will design and implement solutions which will drive VIOTAS’ global expansion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with a team to design and implement highly available, secure, scalable and cost-effective systems and processes, ensuring the reliability and performance of the company's AWS infrastructure.
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code (IaC) automation (e.g., Terraform) to create IaC patterns and modules that accelerate development for end users programmatically.
  • Monitor systems and applications, proactively identifying and resolving any performance bottlenecks or availability issues.
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters on AWS EKS, including deployment, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting containerised workloads to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
  • Develop and maintain monitoring tools, alerts, and dashboards to provide visibility into system health and performance.
  • Conduct post-incident analyses to identify root causes and implement preventive measures to avoid future incidents.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Create and maintain documentation for system architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Collaborate with development teams to implement and deploy new features and enhancements, ensuring they meet reliability and performance standards.
  • Stay up to date with industry best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in site reliability engineering.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of relevant AWS Cloud/DevOps/Software engineering experience
  • Demonstrable skills in working with complex ecosystems
  • Understanding of security concepts: encryption, secure application development, defensive programming, software vulnerabilities and exploits, general issues in web security
  • AWS Administration experience, optimum resource management/security
  • Experience delivering scalable Event Driven systems
  • Comfortable scripting and debugging
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Desirable

  • Network experience, both Cloud and Physical, would be a distinct advantage.
  • Experience implementing scalable, secure, and reliable IoT solutions in a cloud environment.
  • Comfort in both adapting existing systems and creating new systems.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent.
