Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure
Job description
Primary Function of Position
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and operate foundational cloud infrastructure
and developer enablement capabilities. This role will contribute to modern AWS infrastructure, CI/CD
foundations, security instrumentation, and platform capabilities that enable product teams to build and
deploy services quickly, reliably, and securely.

Design and implement cloud infrastructure in AWS using infrastructure-as-code.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, shared delivery tooling, and deployment patterns that
support fast, reliable software releases.
Develop reusable infrastructure modules, templates, and common libraries that simplify service
onboarding and reduce operational overhead for application teams.
Help establish centralized security instrumentation and platform-wide operational controls
across cloud environments.
Partner with engineering teams to improve developer experience through self-service
infrastructure capabilities, documentation, and automation.
Contribute to administration of shared engineering tools and platforms such as source control,
artifact management, secrets management, incident tooling, and related developer systems.
Implement and support observability, monitoring, and service health capabilities needed for
platform reliability and operational excellence.
Collaborate with security, quality, and software engineering teams to ensure infrastructure and
delivery practices meet compliance and operational requirements.
Required Skills and Experience (Specific skills, knowledge, and experience that an individual must possess
in order to successfully perform in job)
Experience building, deploying, and operating infrastructure that
supports critical services and APIs in cloud environments.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or GCP).
Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Fargate).
Experience with networking concepts (VPCs, load balancing, DNS).
Experience with monitoring and observability tools (CloudWatch, Datadog).
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab CI, Jenkins).
Knowledge of security best practices (IAM, secrets management, compliance).
Strong troubleshooting and incident management skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
Required Education and Training (As applicable - Specific education and training that an individual must
possess in order to successfully perform in job)
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience in software engineering or infrastructure engineering.

business need and/or on the selected candidate’s experience, knowledge and skills.
Compensation will be based primarily on the job level at which the role is filled and the
candidate’s qualifications, consistent with applicable law.
We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, benefits, and equity. It would not be typical for someone to be hired at the top end of range for the role, as actual pay will be determined based on several factors, including experience, skills, and qualifications.
