Job description

POSITION LOCATION: This is a remote, field-based position supporting our Western U.S. territory, including Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Wyoming.

Candidates should reside within the assigned territory, preferably near a major metropolitan airport, and be comfortable traveling extensively throughout the region. This role requires up to 75% travel, including frequent driving and air travel. A company expense card is provided for travel-related expenses.

As a Regional Sales Specialist - Pro, you will drive Pro business growth across our Outdoors Business brands, Larson, Therma-Tru, and Fiberon, by building strong relationships with contractors, builders, distributors, and retail partners across the Western region. Supporting key partners like Lowe's and The Home Depot, you will identify new opportunities, expand our presence in the Pro segment, and help deliver seamless project experiences from start to finish.

In this highly visible role, you'll grow our footprint within the professional contractor segment by developing strategic partnerships, influencing large project opportunities, and driving profitable growth across a key region.

This role is ideal for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, uncovering new business, and serving as a trusted advisor. You'll manage a multi-state territory, collaborate closely with retail and distribution partners, and play a key role in accelerating Pro sales growth while representing our nationally recognized brands.

We value individuals who can Think Fast by identifying opportunities and solving customer challenges; Work It Together by building trusted partnerships across teams; and Make the Hard Call by making thoughtful decisions that create long-term value.

Salary: $80,000 - $100,000 plus annual sales incentive and other opportunities for performance-based contests and bonuses

What you will be doing:

  • Drive Pro sales growth by identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities throughout your assigned territory.
  • Execute Pro-focused programs and promotional initiatives within the retail environment.
  • Promote the full Larson, Therma-Tru, and Fiberon product portfolio across Lowe's, The Home Depot, and distribution networks.
  • Partner with Retail Channel Outside Sales Representatives to align on active projects, upcoming opportunities, and Pro-focused initiatives.
  • Serve as the regional expert in blueprint reading and project takeoff execution for complex Pro opportunities.
  • Lead regional Pro events and product training sessions that increase product knowledge and advocacy among retail and distribution partners.
  • Conduct on-site job visits to support project planning, technical troubleshooting, and installation guidance.
  • Manage large, multi-phase, high-value Pro projects to ensure seamless execution from quote through fulfillment.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate order execution and timely project delivery.
  • Build long-term customer relationships through Pro rebate programs and strategic account development that drive customer loyalty and repeat business.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, Customer Service, and Sales teams to share market insights, customer feedback, and growth opportunities.
  • Manage territory travel and expenses responsibly while achieving established sales objectives.
  • Contribute to additional projects and initiatives that support business priorities.
  • 3+ years of experience in field sales, business development, or channel management within the building materials, construction, or related industry.
  • Direct experience working within the retail environment, including Lowe's and/or The Home Depot.
  • Demonstrated success identifying new business opportunities and growing sales independently across a multi-state territory.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to build credibility with retail partners, contractors, builders, distributors, and purchasing managers.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to deliver product training and presentations, while effectively supporting customers in one-on-one job site conversations involving product specifications and installation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
  • Must reside within the assigned territory and be comfortable traveling up to 75%, including frequent driving and air travel.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
  • Experience selling doors, decking, millwork, or other building products.
  • Experience working with Pro customers, including builders, remodelers, contractors, or other trade professionals.
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar.
