QA Engineer with Python

Salary: 500-800 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: hybrid from Kraków (1-2 days per week from the office)

Project

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join a global product team developing advanced energy applications that support the operation and reliability of electrical power networks. You'll work alongside software developers, scientists, and product managers to deliver innovative solutions that contribute to a smarter and greener energy future.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Plan and execute software testing strategies based on business and functional requirements
• Design, develop, and maintain automated and manual test cases
• Perform functional and non-functional testing of customer-facing solutions
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Validate real-life scenarios using laboratory equipment
• Manage test execution and reporting through Zephyr Scale and Azure DevOps
• Collaborate with development teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
• Drive continuous improvements in QA processes, testing standards, and product quality
• Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and advocate testing best practices
• Build expertise in Power Systems and support the product throughout its lifecycle
• Mentor team members and promote a quality-first mindset across the organization

Expected competences and knowledge

• 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance
• Hands-on experience with test automation in Python
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies , test design techniques, and testing tools
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Familiarity with SDLC and version control systems ( Git )
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good command of English (at least B2)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Power Systems
• Experience with industrial communication protocols (OPC, IEC 60870-5-104, MODBUS, IEEE C37.118)
• Docker and Kubernetes experience
• BDD testing approaches (Gherkin)
• ISTQB certification
• Experience with performance , security , or compliance testing
