Job description

Tatari is on a mission to revolutionize TV advertising. Founded in 2016 to help transform the antiquated world of TV advertising through the intelligent application of AI and machine learning, Tatari helps some of the world’s fastest growing brands including Chime, Calm, Tecovas, Manscaped, Saatva, and Liquid I.V., reach their customers using linear and streaming TV ads. Our platform combines sophisticated media buying with proprietary analytics to turn TV advertising into an automated, digital-like experience, enabling businesses of any size to advertise on TV.

That approach has earned Tatari broad industry recognition, including being named Best CTV AdTech Platform in the 8th annual MarTech Breakthrough Awards, as well as honors from Digiday (Best Connected TV Platform), AdExchanger (Most Innovative TV Advertising Technology), and Business Insider (Hottest AdTech Companies). Tatari has also been recognized as the Best Place to Work by Inc. Magazine. Backed by an executive team of former founders and senior leaders from companies including Shazam, TrueCar, AdapTV, LiveRail, Amazon, Google, Meta, Microsoft, and Yahoo, Tatari continues to scale rapidly as TV advertising enters its next major era.

As Principal Product Manager, AI/ML, you set the multi-year vision and strategy for Tatari's AI/ML recommendation and prediction products — one of the company's highest-leverage strategic bets. You operate with significant autonomy, shaping investment decisions while still functioning as a hands-on IC who ships. You bring outside-in thinking that reshapes how the org thinks about AI/ML, build the executive and cross-functional alignment needed to execute against that vision, and raise the bar for product craft across teams beyond your own.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the vision and multi-year roadmap for AI/ML recommendation and prediction products end-to-end — from ideation and business case through market research and competitive differentiation — to drive growth and sustained competitive advantage.
  • Secure executive alignment on technology investments tied to business goals; guide engineering teams in sequencing short-term deliverables that ladder to long-term strategy.
  • Serve as the org's go-to expert on customers and market: synthesize usage data, qualitative research, and competitive/industry intelligence to validate and prioritize the roadmap.
  • Evangelize AI/ML product innovation across the org, raising the bar on what "good" looks like and driving the organizational changes needed to support it.
  • Mentor and set the standard for other PMs working on adjacent AI/ML or data-driven initiatives — acting as a force-multiplier beyond your own roadmap.
  • Partner closely with design, data science, and engineering through the full delivery lifecycle (including Agile ceremonies) to define requirements and ship on time at the right quality bar.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years in Product Management, including 3+ years leading ML/AI products end-to-end, with demonstrated Staff/Principal-level scope (influence across multiple teams or roadmaps, not just one product line).
  • Proven track record building and scaling recommendation systems and/or graph neural network (GNN) products in production, at meaningful user/data scale.
  • Experience shaping product strategy and driving buy-in without formal authority — across engineering, leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders — with results tied to specific business outcomes.
  • Skilled at partnering with UX/design and data science to ship AI/ML features, balancing model capability against usability constraints.
  • Strong grasp of Agile/iterative development, adapted for ML timelines (training cycles, data dependencies, experimentation loops).
  • Exceptional written/verbal communication; able to translate technical ML tradeoffs for non-technical stakeholders and think analytically across systems.
  • Big plus (not required): Direct experience in ad tech, CTV/streaming, linear TV, or programmatic media.

Benefits:

  • Total compensation ($190,000-$225,000)
  • Equity compensation
  • Health insurance coverage for you and your dependents
  • 401K, FSA, and commuter benefits
  • $150 monthly spending account
  • $1,000 annual continued education benefit
  • $500 Newbie Productivity Perk
  • Unlimited PTO and sick days
  • Monthly Company Wellness Day Off
  • Snacks, drinks, and catered lunches at the office
  • Team building events
  • Hybrid RTO of 2 days per week in office.

At Tatari, we believe in the importance of cultivating teams with diverse backgrounds and offering equal opportunities to all. We strive to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where every team member feels valued and diversity is celebrated.
