What We’re Looking For We’re looking for an experienced HR professional to serve as the trusted advisor for all aspects of the employee lifecycle at our Montego Bay site. The ideal candidate has experience supporting U.S.-based or multinational organizations, thrives in a fast-paced and evolving environment, and possesses the credibility, judgment, and business acumen to effectively coach leaders while delivering an exceptional employee experience. You’ll partner closely with the Site Director, Business Manager, and operational leaders—as well as U.S.-based Centers of Excellence—to execute enterprise People initiatives while addressing the unique needs of the Jamaica operation.

What You’ll Do HR Business Partnership

  • Serve as the primary People Business Partner for the Montego Bay leadership team, providing coaching and guidance on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, employee relations, performance management, and talent development.
  • Build trusted relationships with the Site Director, Business Manager, and department leaders to understand business priorities and proactively recommend people solutions.
  • Actively participate as a member of the site leadership team, contributing to business planning, workforce discussions, and operational decision-making.
  • Utilize workforce metrics and trends to identify opportunities to improve engagement, retention, attendance, productivity, and organizational effectiveness. Employee Relations & Performance Management
  • Serve as the primary resource for employee relations matters, conducting investigations and partnering with leaders to resolve workplace concerns in a timely, fair, and compliant manner.
  • Coach leaders on performance management, documentation, corrective action, conflict resolution, and employee development.
  • Ensure employment decisions are compliant with Jamaican labor legislation and Company policies.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture. Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to support recruiting efforts for Cosan Connect positions.
  • Coordinate interviews, candidate communications, and hiring activities to ensure an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Lead all site onboarding activities, including orientation, new hire integration, equipment coordination, and employee introductions.
  • Partner with managers to ensure successful 30-, 60-, and 90-day onboarding experiences. Employee Engagement & Culture
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives that strengthen culture, improve retention, and enhance employee experience.
  • Coordinate employee recognition programs, celebrations, site communications, and engagement activities.
  • Partner with leaders to analyze engagement feedback and implement meaningful action plans. Payroll, Benefits & HR Operations
  • Partner with Compensation & Benefits and Payroll teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
  • Validate payroll inputs, review exceptions, and resolve payroll-related questions or discrepancies.
  • Support employee benefit enrollment, life events, leave administration, and employee inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate employee records within the HRIS and ensure timely processing of employee transactions. Compliance & Workforce Analytics
  • Ensure compliance with Jamaican employment legislation and Company policies.
  • Maintain employment documentation and personnel records in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
  • Monitor key workforce metrics including turnover, absenteeism, retention, vacancies, and engagement.
  • Leverage technology, HR systems, AI tools, and process improvements to increase efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience with at least 3 years supporting leaders as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.
  • Experience supporting U.S.-based organizations or multinational companies.
  • Strong knowledge of Jamaican employment legislation and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, investigations, performance management, recruiting, onboarding, payroll coordination, and HR operations.
  • Experience supporting high-volume operations such as healthcare services, contact centers, BPO, customer service, or other service-based organizations.
  • Experience partnering directly with operational leaders and influencing business decisions.
  • Strong organizational, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with remote teams across multiple locations.
  • Proficiency with HRIS platforms, Applicant Tracking Systems, Microsoft Office, and collaboration tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
  • Professional HR certification (SHRM, HRCI, CIPD, or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting remote or geographically dispersed workforces.
  • Experience in healthcare services or other regulated industries.
  • Experience utilizing AI tools and workforce analytics to improve operational efficiency and decision-making.

Compensation & Benefits

  • $4,500,000 – $6,000,000 JMD annually (commensurate with experience).
