Salary Range: $105,754.00 – $132,193.00 per annum (plus comprehensive benefits, where applicable)
Hiring Range: $105,754.00 – $118,974.00 per annum

Location: 10 Peel Centre Drive, Brampton
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week. Must be available for on-call weekends on a rotational basis
Who We Are
The Central Business Support Unit (CBSU) provides critical support to Long Term Care Homes by managing the workforce availability at our Long Term Care homes. The Microsoft Team is for the CBSU unit to efficiently collaborate to ensure that there no unfilled shifts.
What You'll Do
In this role, you will lead and supervise a team of approximately 20 direct reports, providing guidance, support, and performance management to ensure team success.
As the Supervisor, Business Support, you will manage a team within the Central Business Support Unit (CBSU), which provides critical support to five Long Term Care (LTC) Homes and Adult Day Services (ADS) Programs. In this role, you will oversee staff scheduling, payroll, personnel support, data management, auditing, and procurement. You will ensure compliance with legislative requirements and contribute to service delivery that prioritizes resident care and safety. You will also help set goals aligned with regional priorities, implement policies for efficient operations, and collaborate with Homes and corporate partners to enhance business performance and manage risks.
You will lead staff hiring, coaching, and performance management while managing the daily operations of the CBSU and ensuring 24/7 staffing coverage. Your responsibilities include scheduling for approximately 1,200 staff across departments, ensuring compliance with collective agreements, and updating policies to improve efficiency and reduce overtime. You will ensure accurate payroll processing, resolve discrepancies, and work closely with HR on policy and process improvements, while maintaining systems to track staff metrics and benefits.
In addition, you will oversee audits and implement corrective actions for business services across all Homes, develop quality improvement programs, and ensure adherence to policies while managing staff coordination and risk. You will monitor operational trends, provide essential data for leadership decisions, influence bargaining and collective agreements, address workforce issues, and manage the program budget. Finally, you will advocate for and integrate new technologies, support scheduling software enhancements, and ensure the maintenance and support of IT systems.
What You'll Need
- Business or Health Administration degree or related field. Combination of education and experience may be considered
- Minimum three (3) years leadership experience; supervising/directing staff, performance management, coaching etc.
- Experience in program administration/delivery and business planning/budgets
- Experience in human resources management in a unionized environment
- Experience in project management and program development
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability in corporate core competencies including human resource management, integrated planning & prioritization, performance measurement, financial management, procurement and team development
- VSS & TB Required
Skills/Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of collective agreement administration and interpretation, labour relations principles and practices and relevant employment legislation
- Current knowledge of information management tools and applications
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the implementation of change management strategies
- High level of competency in critical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making
- Strong organizational/planning, project management and time management skills
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
Nice to Have
- Experience in health systems management in a health care setting
- Knowledge of Long Term Care divisional and regional policies and procedures, provincial standards, and relevant legislation
- Experience with JBS Software (or similar scheduling systems) and other relevant technologies

Work Mode & Job Location
In this role, you’ll benefit from the flexibility of a hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes meaningful in-person connection. A minimum of two days per week on-site is expected, with additional in-person presence as operational needs evolve. This arrangement allows for a blend of in person and hybrid work that adapts to support both organizational priorities and employee flexibility and is subject to change over time.
It's important to note that your off-site work location must be within the province of Ontario.
