Milliman India - Non- Life Actuarial Trainee
Duration: 3 months

Experience and preferred skills
- Strong quantitative aptitude with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Outstanding academic record with a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, probability, and actuarial science.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments while meeting tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented consulting environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions), PowerPoint, and Word.
- Working knowledge of one or more programming languages such as R, Python, SQL, SAS, or VBA for data extraction, analysis, automation, and modelling.
- Basic understanding of AI and Generative AI tools, with an interest in applying them responsibly to support data analysis, research, documentation, automation, and actuarial modelling.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to maintaining data quality.
- Previous actuarial, insurance, analytics, or related internship experience is desirable but not mandatory.
- Steady Progress towards actuarial qualification (IAI/IFoA or equivalent) is preferred.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
This position assumes full time contract as an 'Actuarial Trainee - Non-Life' for a period of 3 months. You will be engaged in:
- Data extraction, validation, and analysis using Excel, SQL, R, Python, SAS, or VBA.
- Supporting general insurance reserving, pricing, and actuarial modelling assignments.
- Assisting with research, experience studies, and regulatory or market analysis.
- Developing and using actuarial models, including Milliman's proprietary tools.
- Preparing client reports, presentations, and other project deliverables.
- Supporting process automation and analytical solutions using programming and AI/GenAI tools.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's or master's degree student (or recent graduate) pursuing actuarial science, mathematics, or any other major with quantitative course work
- Minimum 3 actuarial exams from IAI or IFoA, UK
