Job Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), three (3) to five (5) years of painting experience or business school training required; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Incumbent should be able to apply practical knowledge and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form, possess high-quality verbal and written communication ability, and strong customer service skills. Job Summary
This position is primarily responsible for painting exterior and interior walls of Ingleside. Additional duties include repairs to the walls.
Key Responsibilities: Painting Duties
Performs painting and repairs to the community as needed or instructed.
- Conduct rounds to inspect the condition of walls, door frames, paint etc. at the beginning of each shift. • Obtains work orders from Director of Property Management or Maintenance Supervisor; completes, signs off, and returns in a timely manner. • Performs minor dry wall repairs as needed prior to painting. • Installs and/or removes cover base and wallpaper within the community. • Paints walls within the community to standard as set by the Director of Property Management or Maintenance Supervisor. • Records all work performed in logbooks; maintains logbooks to ensure all information recorded is accurate and up to date. • Moves furniture during refurbishments; ensures all furniture is placed back in an appropriate place. • Ensures all walls, ceilings, door frames, etc. are free from water damage or any other hazards. • Remove snow in the winter as needed.
