Job description

Are you a commercially driven marketing leader who knows how to turn strategy into measurable business growth across multiple African markets?

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Regional Strategic Marketing Manager to lead the development and execution of regional marketing strategies that drive revenue, profitability, market share and brand growth across Southern Africa and other expanding African territories.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will play a critical role in shaping commercial strategy, strengthening brand positioning, optimising product portfolios and supporting sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional marketing strategies aligned to business objectives
  • Drive brand positioning and long-term brand equity across multiple African markets
  • Manage product portfolios, product launches and innovation initiatives
  • Lead market intelligence, competitor analysis and customer insights
  • Develop pricing strategies that maximise profitability and market competitiveness
  • Drive lead generation and demand creation initiatives
  • Optimise route-to-market and distributor strategies across regional markets
  • Partner closely with Sales, Technical, Finance and Supply Chain teams to deliver commercial growth
  • Monitor campaign performance, ROI, market share and business performance metrics
  • Identify new market opportunities, customer segments and expansion strategies
  • Manage regional marketing budgets and ensure maximum return on investment

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business or related field
  • Postgraduate qualification or MBA advantageous
  • Minimum 15 years' strategic marketing and brand management experience
  • 5-8 years' experience managing marketing strategies across multiple African countries
  • Proven experience within industrial, manufacturing, B2B or consumer industries
  • Strong commercial, financial and analytical acumen
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing regional growth strategies
  • Experience managing product portfolios, pricing strategies and go-to-market initiatives
  • Strong leadership and executive stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout Africa
