CIVIL 3D MODELER (UTILTIES)
Job description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for wet and dry utility networks using Autodesk Civil 3D.
- Prepare utility layouts, profiles, cross-sections, and construction drawings.
- Model wet utility systems including potable water, sewer, stormwater drainage, irrigation, and foul sewer networks.
- Model dry utility systems including electrical, telecom, fiber optic, ICT, street lighting, utility corridors, and duct banks.
- Develop utility structures such as manholes, chambers, catch basins, and handholes.
- Coordinate utility models with roads, structures, landscape, and other engineering disciplines to ensure clash-free designs.
- Perform clash detection and model coordination using Navisworks.
- Produce IFC, shop, and as-built drawings.
- Update BIM models based on design revisions, RFIs, and construction requirements.
- Ensure compliance with project BIM standards, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and client/local authority requirement
Key Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in Civil 3D utilities modeling for infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D, Navisworks. Inventor, Part Builder, Subassembly Composer, AutoCAD.
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or BIM 360 is preferred.
- Understanding of BIM workflows, multidisciplinary coordination, and clash detection.
- Experience in roads, utilities, and infrastructure projects within Saudi Arabia or the GCC is preferred.
- Familiarity with Saudi authority standards and utility requirements is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Revit and utility corridor coordination is an added advantage.
