We offer great benefits and pay.

Compensation: $64,800 base annual salary plus monthly incentives.

Please be advised that First Northern Credit Union conducts background and credit checks for all positions.

First Northern has been Northwestern University's credit union (employee benefit) since 1935. The Evanston Branch is located in the heart of downtown Evanston near Northwestern University's campus. The branch consists of 5.5 FTE employees: Branch Manager, two Personal Bankers, Senior Teller, Teller, and Part-time Teller.

Branch Managers and their team receive a variety of consumer/personal deposit (savings, checking, money market, CD, etc.) and loan (vehicle, credit card, signature, home equity, etc.) applications from various channels (in-person, telephone, online, mail, business development, etc.) and are responsible for most of the steps from start to finish. There is currently heavy emphasis on new memberships and loans. Special attention should be given to the new membership follow-up process (usually for first 60 days), Pending Lending Application Report follow-ups, Completed Lending Applications, Cross-sale Ticket follow-ups, and outbound calling. There are sales goals and incentives for household and product penetration by cross-selling additional business that is not customer/member initiated or the result of a marketing campaign/promotion.

In addition, Branch Managers are responsible for organizing and participating in community and Select Employee Group events and lead these efforts in coordination with the Business Development and Marketing Departments. This can include outside activities to promote First Northern products and services, working with local businesses, organizations and community leaders to strengthen and enhance the relationships between them and First Northern.
