We are seeking an experienced and technically hands-on Mechanical Lead Engineer to spearhead the design and development of complex semiconductor manufacturing equipment . You will own the mechanical product architecture, guide a talented engineering team, and drive electro-mechanical integration, focusing heavily on machine design , vacuum/fluidic systems, and intricate wire harness routing design .

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Design & Architecture: Lead the full lifecycle (concept to manufacturing) of semiconductor processing modules and high-precision automation equipment.
• Electro-Mechanical Integration: Architect 3D designs that successfully house sensitive electronics, collaborating directly with electrical and controls teams.
• Wire Harness Routing: Develop and route complex 3D wire harnesses and cable management systems to ensure no clash or interference in tight, high-density equipment chassis.
• Design Validation: Conduct structural, thermal, and kinematic calculations. Perform FEA, tolerance stack-up analysis, and DFMEA.
• Team Leadership: Mentor junior engineers, conduct technical design reviews, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality components and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with supply chain, manufacturing, and global teams to optimize design for manufacturing (DFM) and assembly standards.

Work Experience

• Experience: 10+ years of proven mechanical product design experience, specifically within capital equipment, robotics, or semiconductor manufacturing equipment .
• CAD Proficiency: Expert-level mastery of Siemens NX (Unigraphics / UG) for solid modeling, drafting, and complex assembly management.
• Harness Expertise: Demonstrated hands-on experience utilizing UG NX or specialized routing modules for electrical and wire harness routing design.
• Engineering Standards: Deep understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 and SEMI guidelines.
• Materials & Processes: Knowledge of designing with metals, ceramics, quartz, and advanced plastics, alongside machining, weldments, and sheet metal fabrication.
