Job Purpose
This role is responsible for supporting the GL process by ensuring accurate and timely month-end close, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and compliance with company policies and internal controls. The role works closely with cross-functional stakeholders to maintain the integrity of financial records, support audit requirements, and drive process improvements within a Shared Service Center environment.
Responsibilities
Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities for assigned entities.
Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepayments, reclassifications, provisions, and other accounting adjustments.
Prepare and complete monthly Blackline account reconciliations, ensuring balances are accurate, supported, and resolved within established timelines.
Manage Fixed Asset accounting activities, including asset capitalization, disposals, depreciation, and maintain Fixed Asset Schedule
Manage intercompany activities, including reconciliation, confirmations, settlements, and resolution of intercompany differences.
Collaborate with AP, AR, Credit, Treasury, FP&A, Tax, and other stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and support financial close activities.
Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, SOX requirements, and internal control procedures.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardization, and automation to enhance efficiency and controls within the Record-to-Report process.
Support with finance related projects as required.
Knowledge Skills and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
Minimum 3-5 years of previous experience in accounting position
Strong understanding of month-end close activities, accruals, prepayments, provisions, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Knowledge of SOX controls, audit requirements, and compliance standards
Know and manage the accounting principles (US GAAP + Local GAAP)
Experience using ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, or equivalent
Strong Microsoft Excel Experience
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work under tight reporting deadlines with a high level of accuracy
