We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Finance team. If you enjoy working with numbers, solving problems, and collaborating across departments, we'd love to hear from you!
What You'll Do
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate customer invoicing and timely cash application while maintaining excellent customer service.
Responsibilities include
- Record and apply customer payments received through lockbox and mail.
- Review invoices for accuracy before processing.
- Investigate customer deductions and obtain approvals for allowances.
- Issue credit memos for returns, damages, and other adjustments.
- Work directly with customers and brokers to resolve invoicing issues and delinquent accounts.
- Maintain accurate customer account records.
- Provide exceptional internal and external customer service.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3 years of Accounts Payable, Accounting, Bookkeeping, or related experience.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is preferred.
