Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Provide efficient administrative support to managers and teams across Council.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations and other documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records, databases and filing systems in accordance with records management requirements.
  • Process forms, applications, invoices, purchase orders and other administrative transactions.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments and departmental activities.
  • Support the preparation and coordination of events, projects and operational activities where required.

Customer Service

  • Respond to enquiries from community members, businesses and stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
  • Provide accurate information and assistance while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
  • Escalate complex matters to relevant staff where appropriate.

Information Management

  • Maintain data integrity across Council systems and databases.
  • Ensure confidential information is handled appropriately and securely.
  • Accurate record keeping and administration practices.

Team Contribution

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple departments.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to assist with a range of administrative functions.
  • Contribute positively to team culture and organisational objectives.
  • Support operational priorities during periods of peak workload.

Workplace Health & Safety

  • Comply with Council's Work Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Essential Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills

  • Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Proven ability in resolving minor problems that relate to immediate work tasks.
  • Ability to manage customer inquiries, complaints, and requests with diplomacy, professionalism and efficiency.
  • Experience with data entry, record keeping, and document management.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and provide support to other staff as needed.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing tasks.
  • Ability to work within a fast environment
  • Ability to identify operational improvements and streamlining activities.
