Job description

The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is seeking a Faculty Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychiatrist to provide psychiatric care across the lifespan, treating children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of mental health conditions within our Psychiatry Department in Tyler, Texas.

About the Position

  • Clinic Hours - Monday – Friday 8 AM – 5 PM
  • Precepting psychiatry residents in both clinic and remote settings
  • Patient Mix of Child and Adolescent and Adult
  • Healthy mix of outpatient and inpatient responsibilities
  • Call rotates with our UT Health North Campus Psychiatry physicians
  • Weekly schedule will be determined based on skillset of candidates
  • Occasional short-term coverage in other areas as needs arise

The University of Texas at Tyler School of Medicine is the first medical school in East Texas and the seventh in The University of Texas System. Its mission is to train future healthcare professionals to embrace responsibility for the unique needs of rural and hard-to-reach communities and populations, particularly those in East Texas.

The school offers a robust Graduate Medical Education program, with 20 residency and fellowship training programs, enabling graduates to gain specialized skills in areas such as family medicine, internal medicine, neurology, psychiatry, surgery, and anesthesia.
