Engineer - Banking Technology

Job Description

• Implement and deploy software solutions for customers in the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector
• Analyze customer business requirements and configure applications to meet functional and operational needs
• Develop product customizations to address customer-specific requirements
• Integrate software solutions with third-party applications and enterprise systems
• Perform technical analysis and troubleshoot complex customer-reported issues by coordinating with product vendors and internal teams to ensure timely resolution
• Provide production support and maintenance services to ensure uninterrupted customer operations
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including implementation guides, deployment procedures, and knowledge articles
• Continuously develop technical competencies and stay current with emerging technologies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Person Specification

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Technology, or a related field
• Have 2–4 years of overall work experience, including 1–2 years of experience in software development and implementation
• Demonstrate a strong technical background in enterprise banking or financial systems
• Possess a good understanding of banking business concepts, with exposure to retail banking, corporate banking, or treasury operations considered an advantage
• Have experience in application support, system upgrades, or implementations within a banking or financial environment
• Possess working knowledge of Unix/Linux, Shell Scripting, and Batch/Job Monitoring
• Demonstrate working knowledge of Oracle Database and SQL
• Have knowledge of open-source technologies and experience working with APIs
• Demonstrate strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
