Full-stack Java Developer – Hong Kong

Job Description

• Design, develop, and support a strategic financing platform within an investment banking environment.
• Build scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices, with frontend development using typescript and javascript frameworks.
• Work closely with traders, product teams, and global stakeholders to deliver high-quality, latency-sensitive solutions.
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into technical solutions.
• Participate in system design, code reviews, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and help improve platform reliability and performance.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 yrs of experience in software development/programming.
• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices.
• Hands-on experience with Angular or React.
• Experience in investment banking or capital markets , preferably supporting Equities, FICC (Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities), or Financing platforms.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, SQL, and distributed systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
