Job description
Position Summary
The Recruiter is responsible for attracting, screening, hiring, and onboarding qualified CDL drivers and office personnel. This position plays a key role in maintaining staffing levels by creating a positive candidate experience, keeping recruiting pipelines active, and ensuring all hiring documentation is completed accurately.
Responsibilities
- Recruit CDL drivers , mechanics, office staff, and operations personnel.
- Post and manage job openings across recruiting platforms.
- Screen resumes and conduct phone interviews.
- Schedule interviews with hiring managers.
- Verify employment history and qualifications.
- Coordinate background checks, drug testing, and pre-employment requirements.
- Manage driver recruiting through Tenstreet and other recruiting tools.
- Maintain an active pipeline of qualified candidates.
- Follow up with applicants throughout the hiring process.
- Coordinate new hire orientation and onboarding.
- Maintain recruiting metrics
- Participate in recruiting events and job fairs.
- Ensure hiring practices comply with company policies and employment regulations.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of recruiting experience (transportation preferred).
- Experience recruiting CDL drivers is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Experience with ATS systems (Tenstreet, Breezy, Indeed, etc.).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple open positions simultaneously.
