Securitas is seeking a Field Training Officer (FTO) to support one of the world's leading data center organizations.

As a Field Training Officer, you will serve as the primary training resource for security personnel across multiple sites. You will be responsible for onboarding, training, coaching, assessing, and developing security officers while ensuring compliance with operational and client-specific requirements.

This is a highly visible role that requires strong communication skills, a passion for developing others, and the ability to build engagement while maintaining strict adherence to procedures and standards.

You will work closely with site leadership, regional stakeholders, and training teams to ensure a consistent and high-quality training experience across the organization.

The position is currently based in the Oslo region. However, candidates must be willing to relocate as the role is expected to transition to Western Norway within the next few years.

Working hours are primarily Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00, although some flexibility may be required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver onboarding, certification, and ongoing training for Security Officers.
  • Facilitate engaging classroom and practical training sessions.
  • Coach and assess employees to support their development and performance.
  • Maintain training records and ensure compliance with training requirements.
  • Conduct training audits and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with site leadership to identify training needs and development opportunities.
  • Promote a strong culture of safety, security, and operational excellence.
  • Travel between sites to support training and operational needs.

Qualifications

Required

  • Fluent in English and Norwegian, both written and spoken.
  • Valid driver's license (Class B).
  • Satisfactory background check
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively.

Prferred

  • Security Guard Certification (Vekterutdanning)
  • Experience within the security industry or from data center operations
  • Experience delivering training, instruction, coaching, or mentoring.
  • Teaching, educational, or pedagogical background.

For exceptional candidates, support for obtaining required security qualifications may be considered.

Please note that this role requires regular travel and flexibility to support operational needs. Candidates should also be aware that the position is expected to be permanently based in Western Norway following an initial period in the Oslo area.
