Job description

Purpose of the Role The Programme Manager serves as the strategic execution lead for the Precious Jewels Development Initiative (PJDI), the WIN Leadership Management Programme (Winners in Africa), the Group's CSR and ESG portfolio, and the CEO's external leadership assignments. The role ensures that programmes are delivered efficiently, governance is strengthened, stakeholders are engaged, and strategic initiatives achieve measurable impact. Reporting Line Reports to: Group Chairman & CEO Maintains direct liaison with the PJDI Board, business units, development partners and professional associations. Key Responsibilities PJDI & WIN Leadership Management Programme • Lead annual programme planning, setting timelines, milestones and resourcing for PJDI and WIN. • Manage recruitment and selection of programme participants against agreed criteria. • Coordinate curriculum design and facilitator engagement to ensure quality delivery. • Oversee participant welfare throughout the programme lifecycle. • Track key performance indicators and report on programme progress. • Prepare board reports summarising performance, risks and recommendations. • Coordinate alumni engagement to sustain the programme's network and legacy. • Develop strategic partnerships that expand programme reach and resourcing. • Support fundraising efforts, including proposal development and donor engagement. • Manage programme budgets, ensuring efficient and accountable use of funds. CSR & ESG • Develop and drive the Group's CSR strategy in line with corporate objectives. • Coordinate the planning and execution of community projects. • Measure and report on the social and environmental impact of CSR initiatives. • Prepare ESG reports for internal governance and external disclosure. • Manage relationships with NGOs and civil society partners. • Identify and pursue grant opportunities to support CSR and ESG objectives. Office of the CEO • Manage the CEO's strategic calendar, prioritising engagements aligned with corporate goals. • Prepare briefing notes and talking points ahead of key meetings and engagements. • Track decisions arising from CEO meetings and follow up on action items. • Coordinate special projects assigned directly by the CEO. • Represent the CEO at meetings and events where delegated. CPAN • Provide governance support to strengthen CPAN's institutional structures. • Drive membership growth initiatives. • Support implementation of the National Cleaning Institute (NCI). • Coordinate and establish NBTE accreditation processes. • Manage government and regulatory engagement on CPAN's behalf. • Coordinate CPAN's organisation of the Nigeria Clean Expo. • Oversee CPAN's communications and public messaging. AFMPN • Support Board of Trustees (BOT) governance processes. • Coordinate trustee meetings, including agenda-setting and minute-taking. • Drive strategic projects on behalf of AFMPN. • Cultivate industry partnerships to advance AFMPN's objectives. Requirements Qualifications • Bachelor's degree required; a Master's degree is preferred. • 5–8 years of experience in programme or project management. • Demonstrated experience working with NGOs, CSR functions or professional bodies. • Excellent written communication and stakeholder management skills. • PMP or PRINCE2 certification is an advantage.
