Product Manager – Trading Experience
Job description
Please note that we will only be able to accept candidates who have the appropriate rights and documentation for employment in Singapore.
Who We Are
Axi is a leading global provider of margin and deliverable Foreign Exchange, Contracts for Difference (CFDs), and Financial Spread betting. Our business has evolved into a world-class, multifaceted brokerage with offices in six regions. With heavy investment in the latest trading technology, Axi seeks to offer the most comprehensive end-to-end trading experience available, servicing traders of all levels from beginners to institutional-level clients.
Let's talk about the cool stuff you will do at Axi!
As a Product Manager – Trading Experience, you will own and enhance key product experiences across Axi’s app and web trading platforms, with a focus on how traders discover opportunities, place trades, manage positions, monitor performance, and interact with the broader trading lifecycle.
This is a high-impact product role for someone who understands, or has a strong passion for, trading products and trader behaviour. You will work closely with engineering, design, data, trading, risk, middle office, eFX, operations, compliance, and commercial teams to build product experiences that are fast, intuitive, reliable, and aligned to what traders need.
You will shape product capabilities across trading journeys, order placement, position management, watchlists, charts, alerts, trade history, account visibility, execution experience, platform performance, and trader engagement. You will also work closely with internal teams to ensure the front-end trading experience is supported by robust middle office, execution, reconciliation, risk, and operational processes.
This role is well suited to a Product Manager who has worked on trading platforms, brokerage products, fintech platforms, investment apps, FX/CFD products, or other complex financial products. We are also open to strong Product Managers from adjacent digital product environments who have a genuine personal interest in trading and can demonstrate strong understanding of trader needs, trading behaviour, and platform expectations.
Your EDGE Assignment / You Will
- Define, own, and continuously refine the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Axi’s app and web trading experience, ensuring alignment with company priorities, client needs, trading performance, and commercial objectives.
- Build and improve trader-facing product experiences, including market discovery, watchlists, charts, order tickets, trade execution flows, open positions, order management, trade history, alerts, account metrics, margin visibility, and portfolio performance.
- Understand what traders need from a digital trading experience, including speed, stability, transparency, confidence, ease of use, execution clarity, pricing accuracy, and access to relevant trading information.
- Partner closely with engineering, design, data, trading, eFX, middle office, risk, operations, compliance, support, and commercial stakeholders to deliver trading product initiatives end-to-end.
- Work with middle office and operational teams to understand trade lifecycle processes, including trade capture, validation, reconciliation, exposure monitoring, reporting, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with eFX and trading teams to understand execution-related considerations such as pricing, liquidity, latency, slippage, order routing, rejected trades, trade flow, and platform performance.
- Translate trader needs, business requirements, technical constraints, and operational considerations into clear product requirements, priorities, user stories, workflows, and well-managed backlogs for engineering teams.
- Use data, client feedback, trading behaviour, support insights, funnel metrics, platform analytics, and qualitative research to identify friction points and prioritise product improvements.
- Lead the development and rollout of new features, capabilities, and product improvements that improve the trading experience across app and web platforms.
- Monitor product performance through adoption, engagement, conversion, execution-related metrics, trade activity, client feedback, incident trends, and operational impact.
- Ensure product capabilities meet relevant regulatory, compliance, risk, and operational requirements, especially where trading, execution, leverage, margin, risk warnings, promotions, and client communications are involved.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with stakeholders on roadmap progress, product priorities, trade-offs, delivery risks, client impact, and business outcomes.
- Balance trader experience, commercial impact, regulatory expectations, technical feasibility, operational resilience, and delivery constraints to make sound product decisions.
Are you the one?
- You have 7+ years of total work experience, with most of that experience in product management, ideally across trading platforms, fintech, brokerage, investing, FX, CFDs, wealth, payments, or similarly complex digital products.
- You have experience building or improving app and/or web product experiences used by customers in high-intent, high-frequency, or financially sensitive environments.
- You understand, or have a strong personal interest in, trading products and trader behaviour, including what traders expect from a platform before, during, and after placing a trade.
- You have knowledge of trading platform experiences such as market search, watchlists, charts, order placement, open positions, order history, account balances, margin usage, P&L, alerts, deposits, withdrawals, and client reporting.
- You have a proven track record of owning and delivering successful software products, features, or customer experiences across web and/or mobile platforms.
- You are comfortable working across the full product development lifecycle, from discovery and problem definition through to delivery, launch, measurement, and continuous improvement.
- You have strong product sense, with the ability to define strategy while also driving execution at the detail level.
- You can translate complex trading, operational, technical, and commercial requirements into simple, scalable, and user-friendly product experiences.
- You are confident using customer insights, product analytics, trading data, stakeholder input, market research, competitor analysis, and user feedback to inform decisions and improve outcomes.
- You communicate well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and can influence cross-functional teams across product, engineering, trading, operations, risk, and compliance.
