Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Radiation Oncologist at St. Francis Hospital, you will help patients and their families facing cancer receive high-value, top-quality, specialized care so they can achieve the best possible outcomes and maintain their quality of life.

Every day you will provide advanced radiation oncology services and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. You will be expected to adhere to the highest standards of medical ethics and practice, ensuring compassionate and effective cancer treatment.

To be successful in this role, you must be passionate about delivering exceptional, patient-centered care and dedicated to upholding the highest standards in your medical specialty.

Essential Functions

  • Provide advanced radiation oncology services at or above customary practice standards in the community.
  • Diagnose and treat cancer using radiation therapy techniques, tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans, considering patient history, tumor characteristics, and overall health.
  • Collaborate effectively with referring physicians, oncologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and holistic patient care.
  • Monitor patient progress, manage side effects, and adjust treatment plans as necessary throughout the course of radiation therapy.
  • Adhere to the standards and principles of medical ethics of the American Medical Association and all recognized associations or accrediting boards concerned with radiation oncology.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Doctorate (MD or DO)
  • Successful completion of a residency or fellowship commensurate with area of specialty
  • Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Colorado
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in the appropriate specialty, by a board acceptable to Hospital
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration
  • Ability to obtain Medical Staff Privileges within the Health system, at sponsoring institution
