Position Summary
The Department of Molecular Genetics & Microbiology along with the AIM Center, is seeking an independent and technology focused individual to fill the IT Support Tech 3 position that will bring experience and skills to the research area that will benefit both the department and the AIM CoBRE Center Research.
This individual will perform complex problem solving and assistance on nonstandard software and hardware systems using smartsheet, sharepoint, and vendor software/hardware. Preferred experience with server architecture and data management. Will oversee and perform the installation, configuration and maintenance of computers, workstations and/or other related equipment and devices. Will also provide assistance and guidance in the implementation of new technologies. Will oversee and maintain and inputs applicable records such as, but not limited to, administrative data, and tracking inventory levels of equipment and materials, and user administration. May input, reconcile and audit billing information from a record keeping system. Will need problem solving skills and be able to troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware failures and conflicts.

Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; at least 3 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
Higher education and/or experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified may be interchangeable on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Smartsheet and Sharepoint experience,
- Basic coding experience, and server infrastructure experience as preferred but not mandatory
