The opportunity | Catering Assistants
Exciting things are happening at Joondalup Health Campus! As we launch our brand-new Private Room Service Kitchen, we’re looking for friendly and enthusiastic Catering Assistants to join our growing team across both public and private services.
In this hands-on role, no two days are the same. From delivering meals with a smile, keeping our kitchen running smoothly, you’ll play a vital part in creating safe, high-quality, patient-centred dining experiences.

Successful candidates must have the ability to work shifts across a 14-day rotating roster which may involve weekdays, weekend, and public holidays, various shifts available between 05:30 and 21:00. We are offering a part-time contract of 50 hours per fortnight.
About the Role
Reporting to the Catering Manager, you’ll be working within a fast-paced team-focused environment. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing exceptional, patient‑focused customer service
- Being responsive and sensitive to customer information, their needs and wants
- Preparing, assembling, and delivering patient meals
- Undertake cleaning duties throughout the department and at ward level whilst keeping in line with HACCP/Food Safety regulations infection control and hospital standards
- Dishwashing
- Demonstrate a great work ethic and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise work loads
- Be reliable, motivated and have a friendly nature
- Experience within the healthcare industry desirable
Remuneration:
On offer is a base hourly rate of $31.35 - $32.96 + superannuation, exclusive of penalties or allowances, depending on experience or qualifications
