Job description

In our People & Culture team, we are committed to support all our Hobsters (i.e. colleagues) by creating a culture where people enjoy coming to work - and we need your help with continuously improving our people agenda!

Imagine being the person who keeps the whole employee journey running smoothly - from the moment someone signs their contract to the day they walk in the door, a promotion, parental leave and everything else that might happen during employee lifecycle. This is your chance to own the operational backbone of People & Culture at Hobbii, while also being the sparring partner leaders turn to when things get complicated 🤓

You will work shoulder to shoulder with our Head of People & Culture, splitting your time between administrative execution and coaching of leaders. WIn Hobbii we reach over 5 million passionate makers of knitting- and crochet projects across 13 countries every single week. Behind that there is a team of talented, dedicated Hobsters who need a P&C partner who's as comfortable with our internal systems and processes, as they are in a conversation about performance.

If you love the idea of owning master data and processes, but you also get energy from advising Hobsters and leaders on people matters - this role is built for you 💫

What you will actually spend your time doing

Employee lifecycle admin: Coordinating processes like onboarding, offboarding and contract changes end to end, so every Hobster's experience feels frictionless 🚀

Advisory & coaching: Being the trusted sparring partner for leaders on the legal matters (hereunder Danish employment law and collective agreements), internal policies and procedures, team dynamics, and difficult conversations.

Talent acquisition : Working with leaders to define talent needs and support recruitment process, hereunder run EASI personality tests and feedback sessions.

Performance & compensation review cycles: Coordinating annual and ongoing processes such as appraisal talks and salary reviews.

Turning data into action and visible results: From onboarding reviews, through engagement surveys and to exit interviews, you'll turn data into action and help reach the eNPS targets across teams 🎯

Who we imagine you are

You are detail-oriented, but never lose sight of the bigger organisational picture, and you're just as comfortable saying "I'll check the legal aspects" as "Let's talk about how that conversation went." We will be thrilled if you tick these boxes:

3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, with demonstrated hands-on experience in HR administration, recruitment and employee relations cases.

Thorough knowledge of Danish employment law, including Funktionærloven , and local labour relations.

Solid consulting skills - you can build strong relations based on trust and support leaders even through a sensitive situation.

Comfortable operating independently on day-to-day tasks while collaborating closely with the Head of P&C on the more complex projects.

A can-do attitude and energised by juggling different responsibilities.

Professional fluency in English and Danish.

Knitter and/or crocheter is an additional talent we appreciate 🧶

The culture and the team

Working at Hobbii should feel exciting, fun and meaningful. Our Hobbii norms guide how we work together: for example we help one another succeed , and learn and grow together . We are a bunch of ca. 200 Hobsters spread across our vibrant HQ in Copenhagen NV, cool Warehouse in Greve, 5 amazing stores located in Denmark and 1 store in Germany.

You will be based at HQ where we each day enjoy lunch from Meyers, barista-quality coffee and great energy from our dear colleagues 🤗 Some of the employee benefits that we offer are 6 weeks of holiday, employer-paid pension and private health insurance.

This role reports to the Head of People & Culture, and as their backup, you'll get direct exposure to strategic decisions and a real say when it matters most.

We're excited to welcome someone into this role as soon as possible, which is why we'll be inviting candidates to interviews on an ongoing basis 📆
