Legal and Compliance Associate
Job description
- Review, draft, and assist in the preparation of contracts, agreements, and other legal documents;
- Maintain and organize legal records, contracts, and documentation;
- Track and monitor contract lifecycles, including renewal dates expirations, and approvals;
- Conduct legal and regulatory research and provide summaries or recommendations to support the team;
- Assist in the preparation, maintenance, and updating of standard contracts, legal templates, policies, and forms;
- Maintain and update internal legal trackers, databases, repositories, and document management systems;
- Ensure proper filing, document retention, and version control of the team's documents within the designated repository system;
- Provide administrative and operational support to the team, including scheduling, correspondence, and coordination of legal matters;
- Support compliance, audit, risk management, and issue-tracking activities by maintaining records, monitoring action items, and assisting with reporting requirements;
- Prepare meeting materials, record minutes of meetings, and monitor completion of action items arising from team discussions and reviews; and
- Assist in process improvement initiatives, special projects, and other ad hoc tasks assigned by the Legal Head, and
- Other tasks as may be necessary and as may be assigned by the Executives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in law, Legal Management, Political Science, Business Administration, or any related field.
- Must have at least one (1) year of relevant work experience in legal, compliance, contract administration, or a related role.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
