A business-to-business media environment covering niche trade industries is seeking a driven and commercially aware journalist to join its editorial team covering the travel and tourism sector .

The role focuses on delivering accurate, timely, and operationally relevant reporting for travel industry professionals.

Editorial staff are expected to develop strong subject-matter expertise in their respective industries, demonstrate strong news judgement, maintain global awareness, and produce compelling lead stories.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce daily trade-focused news articles.
• Conduct interviews with industry operators and tourism boards.
• Analyse policy and regulatory developments affecting the travel sector.
• Attend industry events and press briefings.
• Deliver written work within agreed deadlines.

Requirements

• Demonstrated journalism experience with published work.
• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Strong news judgement and awareness of industry developments.
• Deadline-driven and well organised.
• Professional confidence when conducting interviews and engaging with industry stakeholders.
• Valid drivers licence and own vehicle.
