Senior Project Officer Office of Service-Learning (Post Ref.: 26/197)
The Office of Service-Learning (OSL) is seeking creative, self-motivated, and independent educators to lead the design, development and delivery of innovative programmes at undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate levels. The appointee will play a key role in shaping strategic directions for programme development, promotion and marketing, teaching and learning enhancement, course evaluation, international partnership development, and engagement with industry and professional bodies. The successful candidate is also expected to drive impactful Service-Learning initiatives, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and contribute to the continuous advancement of the University's educational mission.
Responsibilities
- Assist Programme Managers in overseeing day-to-day programme administration and operations
- Coordinate co-curriculum learning programmes, including local Service-Learning initiatives and internship opportunities for UG students
- Organize and manage interdisciplinary overseas programmes and experiential learning activities for UG students
- Liaise with faculty members, community partners, NGOs and industry stakeholders to develop and implement high-impact Service-Learning projects
- Build and maintain networks with international partners to develop collaborative courses and programmes
- Prepare proposals for grant applications and funding initiatives
- Prepare programme reports, funding reports, project evaluations, outcome assessments, and other documentation required for quality assurance, accreditation, and stakeholder reporting
- Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Office
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with solid qualitative analytical experience; a full-time Master’s or PhD is highly preferred
- At least 4 years relevant experience in the education sector
- Proven experience in organizing and managing overseas programmes, study tours, Service-Learning projects, or summer camps in the higher education sector
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, resources management and communication skills
- Excellent command of both written and spoken English
- Demonstrated willingness to spearhead AI and technology-enabled Service-Learning (S-L) initiatives
- Undertake overseas travel, including to remote and under-resourced regions, to oversee project delivery, engage community partners, and support student learning and development
- Site visits and work irregular hours may be occasionally required, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Proven track record of establishing and maintaining partnerships with NGOs is advantageous
Candidate with less experience will be considered for the position at the rank of Officer.
Salary and Fringe Benefits The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund and gratuity.
