Job description

Assistant Research Officer / Research Officer

Department of Psychology

The appointee will join the research team led by Professor William Hayward https://www.ln.edu.hk/psy/about-us/people/academic-staff/professor-hayward-william which is focused on human perception of the world, including perception of health and perception of visual stimuli. The appointee will assist in developing psychological experiments, and collecting and analysing data. The position would be of benefit to an applicant who was considering pursuing postgraduate study in Psychology or Data Science in the future.

Responsibilities

· Program and conduct experiments

· Perform data analysis

· Assist coordination of research projects

· Perform any other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator

Requirements

· A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Psychology, Computer Science, or related disciplines

· Good command of written and spoken English and, preferably, Chinese

· Strong sense of responsibility

· Able to work as part of a team

Salary and Benefits

The rank and commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits and mandatory provident fund. The appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract for a period of up to 12 months, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
