Job description

Are you eager to step into the fast-moving sectors of digital hospitality, fine dining, or tech-enabled travel? We are looking for vibrant, service-oriented Cantonese-Speaking Customer Experience Advisors to join our expanding team in the scenic, tech-forward coastal city of Penang, Malaysia.

In this role, you will be the face of our premier Booking App Initiative . You will assist everyday users and commercial partners across Hong Kong, Macau, and other Cantonese-speaking areas with reservation logistics, app navigation, and technical troubleshooting, all while providing an exceptional service experience.

No prior call center or customer service experience? No problem. We set you up for success with a fully paid, 4-week onboarding academy. Whether you are a fresh graduate starting your global tech journey, a seasoned professional looking for a change of scenery, or an applicant from Hong Kong or mainland China eager to work abroad, we want to hear from you.

Daily Responsibilities

As a Customer Experience Advisor, your day-to-day tasks will include:

  • Omnichannel Support: Handle incoming questions, complaints, and user issues via phone, live chat, and email entirely in fluent Cantonese.
  • Reservation Management: Guide users through booking, modifying, or cancelling reservations, processing secure payments, and explaining app-exclusive deals.
  • Merchant Liaison: Serve as the vital link between app users and third-party vendors (such as restaurants, hotels, and transport companies) to coordinate updates and fulfill special requests.
  • Technical Troubleshooting: Assist users with basic account configurations, application navigation, and digital checkout issues.
  • Brand Advocacy: Resolve customer pain points with active listening, patience, and emotional intelligence to turn every interaction into a positive experience.
  • Data Logging: Accurately document support tickets, customer feedback, and case outcomes in our internal CRM database using English or Traditional Chinese.

Candidate Profile & Requirements

Language Skills (Mandatory)

  • Cantonese: Native or near-native spoken fluency. You must also be highly proficient in reading and typing Traditional Chinese characters for digital chat and email support.
  • English: Minimum B2 proficiency (Upper-Intermediate). You should easily understand internal training manuals, participate in company communications, and navigate an English-based operating system.

Qualifications & Traits

  • Education: A Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in any field. (Graduates in English Literature, Hospitality Management, or Mass Communications are highly encouraged to apply).
  • Experience: Previous experience in call centers, customer success, or the tourism and hospitality sectors is an advantage, but not a requirement.
  • Technical Skills: Comfortable navigating mobile app ecosystems, managing tasks across multiple screens, and maintaining a typing speed of 40 words per minute (WPM) or faster.
  • Flexibility: Ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work a rotational shift schedule (including weekends and public holidays) to support our global user base.

Compensation, Perks & Benefits

Financial & Health Incentives

  • Base Salary: An attractive fixed monthly income supplemented by extra allowances (including language stipends, shift differentials, and attendance bonuses).
  • Performance Rewards: Monthly, KPI-driven financial bonuses to celebrate high-achieving advisors.
  • Comprehensive Care: Premium medical, surgical, and life insurance coverage starting from day one.
  • Paid Time Off: Generous allocations for annual, medical, and compassionate leave.

Relocation Package (For Candidates from China & Hong Kong)

If you are relocating directly from Hong Kong or mainland China (such as Guangdong province), we offer a smooth, stress-free transition program:

  • Visa Sponsorship: Full administrative management and financial coverage for your Malaysian Employment Pass (Work Visa).
  • Flight Ticket: A fully covered, one-way airline ticket from your home airport straight to Penang.
  • Initial Housing: 30 days of complimentary accommodation in a hotel or serviced apartment while you look for a permanent home.
  • Moving Allowance: Cash assistance to help you ease into your local living setup.
  • Arrival Support: Dedicated local HR specialists to meet you at the terminal, help you open a Malaysian bank account, and assist with setting up a local SIM card.

Workplace Culture & Career Growth

  • Vibrant Environment: Work on-site in a modern, multicultural corporate building in Penang, featuring on-site cafeterias, relaxation zones, and recreational hubs.
  • Clear Career Paths: Structured avenues for upward and lateral growth. Transition into roles like Team Leader, Quality Assurance Specialist, Corporate Trainer, or Operations Manager within 12 to 18 months.
  • Skill Development: Continuous access to accredited corporate learning courses and professional soft-skills workshops.

Why Move to Penang?

Known globally as the "Silicon Valley of the East" and celebrated as Malaysia's culinary capital, Penang offers an incredible mix of historic charm, cutting-edge tech parks, beautiful beaches, and a remarkably affordable cost of living. It is the perfect place to launch an international career within a warm, welcoming, and diverse community.
