Job description

About Us 🚀

Bridgit is a leading non-bank lender transforming the way Australians access property finance. Purpose-built to make property transactions faster and easier, we pioneered the Buy Now, Sell Later solution – empowering homeowners to unlock their property equity and move on their terms. With a simple digital application, fast approvals, and flexible loan options, we’re making property finance seamless and stress-free.

We’re now five years old and making huge strides. We have accredited over three quarters of Australia’s broker network, and launched white label solutions with Australia’s largest aggregators – Connective, Aussie Home Loans, Finsure, and Loan Market Group – and we’re just getting started.

Our momentum has been recognised with awards such as Best Growth Story at the 2025 Fintech Awards, 2025 Finder People’s Choice Award for Lending Innovation, the finalist for Excellence in Lending (Business & Consumer) at the 2025 Finnies, Deloitte's tech fast 50 2025 and finally; being recognised as one of LinkedIn’s top 20 Start Up’s in Australia 2025.

The Difference you'll make

As a Credit Analyst at Bridgit, you’ll play a key role in assessing and managing mortgage applications, ensuring high credit quality while delivering fast and customer-centric decisions. You’ll work at the heart of a growing fintech, contributing to smarter processes, automation initiatives, and directly influencing business outcomes. In this fast-paced role, you’ll collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to make confident, informed credit decisions that help Australians move forward on their homeownership journey.

What you’ll do

Assess residential mortgage applications from submission through to settlement, ensuring timely and accurate decisions.

Analyse financial documents, valuations, and other supporting materials to identify risks and determine suitability.

Apply sound judgment to both conforming and non-conforming applications, balancing customer experience with risk management.

Work closely with brokers, aggregators, and internal teams to manage queries, resolve issues, and keep deals on track.

Deliver outstanding service and communication to ensure a smooth experience for all parties involved.

Ensure all credit decisions align with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and responsible lending obligations.

Maintain accurate records and audit-ready documentation that upholds Bridgit’s commitment to high-quality credit standards.

What we’re looking for

3+ years of experience in credit risk assessment, residential underwriting, or mortgage credit analysis within banking, non-bank, or specialist lending environments.

In-depth understanding of residential credit policy, financial statement analysis, self-employed income verification, and living expense assessments.

Comprehensive knowledge of responsible lending guidelines and industry regulations.

Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and risk-assessment skills with high attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to explain credit decisions clearly and collaborate effectively with stakeholders
