The Staten Island Workforce1 Career Center is partnering with Person-Centered Care Services (PCCS) to find qualified candidates for an Employment Supports Job Coach in Staten Island, New York. Person-Centered Care Services is a nonprofit organization that creates social change by supporting people with disabilities on their journey to self-identity and acceptance. Guided by the values of support, equity, and acceptance, PCCS is committed to providing person-centered services while fostering professional growth and community engagement.

Position Overview

The Employment Supports Job Coach provides individualized support to people with disabilities while promoting person-centered services and community inclusion. This role adapts to the changing needs of the individuals supported, collaborates with participants, families, advocates, and team members, and helps implement service plans that encourage independence and success. The Job Coach also balances direct support with administrative responsibilities while maintaining professional communication and contributing to an inclusive, respectful environment.

This position is located in Staten Island, New York.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide person-centered support based on the needs of the individuals served.
  • Adapt to changing program needs while maintaining a person-centered approach.
  • Balance administrative responsibilities with direct support activities.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, families, advocates, and team members.
  • Implement service plans using participatory planning techniques.
  • Demonstrate professionalism while addressing the needs of participants and families.
  • Promote inclusion by respecting cultural, religious, racial, disability, and gender differences.
  • Participate in the PCCS DSP Career Ladder Program and maintain good standing.
  • Position may involve assisting with toileting, hygiene, and lifting based on the needs of the individuals supported.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, concentration in Human Services or a related field strongly preferred.
  • 1 more years of experience working in OPWDD HCBS Waiver programs strongly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle required.
  • General schedule flexibility required.
  • Must enroll in and maintain good standing in the PCCS DSP Career Ladder Program.
  • Strong communication, organization, flexibility, professionalism, and time management skills.

Pay Range

USD $18.00 - USD $18.00 /Hr.
