Arkansas Talent Group is seeking a Human Resources Manager for a dynamic, mission-driven organization based in Little Rock, Arkansas . This is an interim contract opportunity designed to provide immediate HR leadership and operational support while the organization evaluates and strategically reshapes the long-term structure of the role and broader HR function. This position offers a unique opportunity to make an immediate impact and help influence the future direction of the department.
The Human Resources Manager will play a key role in supporting day-to-day HR operations while partnering closely with leadership to align people strategies with business objectives. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, ensuring a positive workplace culture while maintaining compliance with all applicable employment laws and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, performance management coaching, and policy interpretation.
- Support and execute HR operations including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and performance management.
- Partner with leadership to identify workforce needs, provide strategic HR guidance, and implement effective solutions that drive engagement and retention.
- Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts, including workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding to ensure a seamless candidate and new hire experience.
- Provide guidance to managers on employee performance, disciplinary actions, attendance issues, accommodations, and general HR best practices.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and stay current on regulatory changes impacting the organization.
- Support compensation and benefits administration, including benchmarking and employee communications.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance HR service delivery and organizational effectiveness.
- Participate in organizational initiatives and special projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity preferred.
- Strong knowledge of employee relations, recruiting, and HR compliance.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Professional certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP are preferred.
