Business Development Executive
Job description
JOB PURPOSE
The Business Development Executive is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing accounts, and executing strategic sales initiatives. This role plays a key part in strengthening customer relationships, enhancing market presence, and contributing to the organization’s overall commercial success.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and grow assigned accounts to achieve sales targets and profitability goals
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in target markets
- Build strong relationships with customers and key stakeholders
- Analyze customer needs, market trends, and competitor activities to develop effective sales strategies
- Lead end-to-end sales processes including prospecting, proposal development, negotiation, and closing
- Collaborate with internal teams (Operations, Finance, Customer Service) to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor and report sales performance, pipeline, and forecasts regularly
- Resolve customer issues and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with company policies and service standards
- Continuously improve knowledge of logistics solutions and industry trends
QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in Business Development or Sales (preferably in logistics or supply chain)
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Results-driven with a proactive, “can-do” attitude
- Strong business development and sales skills
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Customer-centric mindset with strong relationship management skills
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving capability
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
