Purchasing Specialist (Mandarin Speaker)

Job Description

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure a sustainable supply of raw materials and competitive pricing.
• Conduct market, trend, and availability analyses to identify profitable purchasing opportunities.
• Draft and negotiate purchase contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.
• Manage the ordering and delivery process, monitoring supplier performance, and ensuring timely delivery.
• Coordinate with the production team to plan raw material requirements and effectively adjust purchasing strategies.
• Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency, and inventory optimization.
• Maintain a database of suppliers, inventory, and other related data.

Competencies & Requirements

• Fluent in Mandarin and Bahasa Indonesia, with excellent communication skills. Minimum HSK 5.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a logistics procurement role.
• Deep understanding of best practices in supply chain management, including negotiation strategies, market analysis, and inventory optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound, data-driven decisions.
• Ability to work in a fast-changing environment, with a focus on priorities and deadlines.
• Knowledge of procurement-related systems and technologies, such as ERP and analytics tools.
