Job description
THIS ROLE
As an experienced Fund Accounting Preparer, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely fund accounting services for medium to moderately complex portfolios. In this role, you will prepare financial records, perform account reconciliations, and produce high-quality client deliverables while ensuring compliance with established accounting standards and procedures. Working with moderate supervision, you will apply your knowledge of fund accounting processes, technical procedures, and operational controls to identify and resolve routine issues, maintain data integrity, and support exceptional client service through attention to detail, analytical thinking, and effective execution of day-to-day accounting activities.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- You'll prepare, review, and deliver fund accounting reports and portfolio deliverables, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with client-specific requirements and quality standards.
- You'll process, validate, and reconcile fund accounting transactions and data, perform moderately complex calculations, maintain data integrity, and conduct quality checks across reports, dashboards, and reporting portfolios.
- You'll apply quality control and risk mitigation procedures, identify and resolve routine to moderately complex issues, investigate discrepancies, and escalate exceptions in accordance with established guidelines and workflows.
- You'll serve as a subject matter resource for client-specific requirements, support client onboarding, reporting enhancements, UAT activities, and process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency and accuracy.
- You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, respond to inquiries, maintain operational documentation, support training and knowledge sharing, and provide input on team performance and service delivery effectiveness.

ABOUT YOU
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a CPA or equivalent professional certification is preferred.
- You bring at least 3 years of experience in fund accounting, performance and analytics, financial reporting, or similar functions supporting complex portfolios.
- You demonstrate strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, along with advanced Microsoft Excel and overall Microsoft Office proficiency.
- You possess excellent communication, documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify operational risks, drive process improvements, and deliver accurate, timely results.
- You are proactive, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning, with the ability to take ownership, collaborate effectively, mentor peers, and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
